I have done an oil change on my Volvo turn out the guy didn’t do it properly and ended up with a leak and having to do it again and purchase the part at the dealership. The front desk very professional and super nice but the work is very lousy from my experience

Yassine, this review takes us by surprise and after reviewing the repair order and talking to your advisor, I can see during your first visit with us in early May, we diagnosed an issue you were having with the vehicle not being able to accelerate beyond 25 MPH. We also performed an oil and filter service, with our inspection. We advised you on the repairs needed, looked into whether or not it might be covered under the manufacturer's warranty and let you know about a few items of concern we found during the inspection. Your service was performed by one of our most experienced, certified techs and you chose to not have any repairs or additional service done. I've reviewed our communication log and questioned your service advisor and I can't find any mention of having to repair a leak or obtain any parts from the dealership. We pride ourselves on our communication and our expert service and always appreciate knowing if we could have done better, so don't hesitate to contact us or stop by to see if we can clear up any confusion.

Asked for a smoke test of the air manifold and a pressure test of the exhaust. Very specific request. They said they would do a diagnostic (something else) for $260 and setup an appointment. On the day, I show up and they tell me 1-2 days for diagnostic with no loaner car availability. They also wanted to do some deferred work. I asked to do the specific tests to reduce the diagnostic time, and they could not guarantee a same day return. So on the one hand, they wanted to do more work and on the other they didn't have the time for my request on my appointment day. What do you think is going on?

We feel disappointed that we haven't been able to demonstrate the value of our service to you for the last few years, Avid. I have discussed this visit with the advisor who worked with you and tried to get some more information. When the appointment was made to perform diagnostic service, you had also requested the vehicle back by mid-afternoon. When you arrived, you asked for a specific test to be done. While the testing you requested can be a part of the process, diagnosis consists of many aspects. Determining the root cause of a problem can lead a technician to perform any number of tests and our expert techs are the ones who will determine the testing that needs to be done, based on the symptoms and evidence. Our technicians attend training year-round and dedicate themselves to being the best in their field. Meeting a time deadline for something that is unknown is also difficult and we had advised that. Also, for the last few years, you have chosen to do all of your own work after having us perform an inspection, so we just wanted to check in about all of the recommended services we have let you know about and see if they have all been performed. It's apparent that we aren't able to provide you with the service that you desire, so we wish you the best of luck in finding a shop who can meet your needs.

We started taking our little Mercedes pop top camper van to Swedish about a year ago, when we got tired of dealing with the Mercedes Benz dealerships. Swedish automotive isnt the cheapest independent shop, but theyre conscientious and meticulous; when I go there I feel like a family member is taking care of our transportation needs. Yesterday I took our van just for a quick (cautionary) oil change, mentioning our upcoming summer camping trips, sure enough Sean got us a full report on a complete inspection. This is the thing thatll keep me coming back. Were no strangers to expensive car repairs and poor life choices, we come from a background of BMW M cars, Porsches, Alfa Romeo, Ducatis and yes, even some old Fiat. Were glad we found you, thank you Swedish!!

Have been coming here for just about 3 years for my car and they have always been great at explaining what needs to be done and what can wait and calling with updates if something else comes up. I never feel upsold or pressured into any fix or service and they’re always very nice!
