Dave Winters (owner) is wonderful! I have been bringing my cars to him for years! He will always tell you the truth about what needs to be done immediately and what can wait. When my co-workers were trying to convince me I needed a new car, he told me that it still had many years left - and it is still running - 10 years later!! I completely trust him and recommend him to everyone I know!

One of the better experiences I have had with a mechanic. Bill was my point of contact for my 2005 Volvo V70 and he was incredibly thorough. He went over issues with my car and gave me upfront pricing and even walked me through what was more important to address first vs other side issues that could be addressed down the road or even things I could do on my own. I am so happy I went here.

Absolutely the best car experience I've had... repeated year after year, for 25 years ! I've been bringing my Saabs here with excellent results. This place has the highest level of technical expertise, business organization and sincere, friendly service not seen since the 1950s ! Their loaner cars are always better than mine. In all of my transactions with them over the years I've never had the slightest reason for complaint ... I mean, these guys NEVER have a bad day ... I own my own company (manufacturing) just blocks away and have always wanted to introduce their level of service in my company... never been able to do it. Very highly recommended !

My family started with one Volvo and, after our experience with Swedish Auto and the need to replace a car and add a third for a new driver, now have three. They are an excellent shop that is extremely thorough and happy to help with any problem, no matter how minor. The owner has an encyclopedic knowledge of Volvos and shares it freely. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I've had my Mini Cooper here 3 times in the past 3 years and each time the recommended work was explained to me in clear terms I could understand. For some services, they offered 2 or 3 options and explained the difference in the work and probably outcome for each option. They are responsive and communicate promptly when the tech gets inside and finds out what's going on with the car. And they do more than just engine work. The glove compartment door on my Mini wouldn't stay shut. Online forums said this was a common issue with my model and recommended installing a completely new compartment. Other automotive shops said they didn't do that type of work. Swedish Automotive fixed it inexpensively without taking the whole dashboard apart. I get a loaner car for $25 for as long as my car is in their shop. Love this place!

They seem to be very well staffed and there is plenty of time to be clear about what you want to talk about. Very friendly and professional. For example, I came in for wiper blades and ended up having my wipers adjusted with a special tool to optimize the angle. Parts and service protocols are to the highest level, always using the best parts. For example, I called multiple other Volvo shops to see if they could use Volvo heater hoses. No shop except Swedish Automotive could order them - Swedish Automotive had them in stock. I have a 1987 Volvo 240. These guys are experts. I was advised to adjust the valves - I didn't hear that from the last Volvo specialty shop I went to. I had it done the same day. Other shops were scheduling for weeks out. In particular, I found Dave Winters to be incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and thorough in meeting my needs, giving me much invaluable information about my car, and overall being easy and pleasantto deal with. The last way they were helpful for me was actually shipping that Volvo heater hose to me while I am on the road! I am naturally compelled to leave this review since the service has been nothing short of exceptional.
